About us

Three Peanuts started as a way to simply document the miracle of bringing our youngest daughter home from China.  Now, more than 8 years later, this blog provides me with a creative outlet for writing, photography, recipes and sharing about my family and my faith.  It is truly our family scrapbook.

I am mostly a stay at home Mom but I also have a private practice doing marriage, parenting, relationship and life coaching. I also give workshops and presentations on marriage, communication, parenting and family relationships. I have had a PhD in marriage and family communication for over 20 years. I also like to read, cook, and play around with photography.  And I love interior design.

Dave is an incredible father and husband who really blesses our family with his gifts.  He plays guitar and was a great golfer before the kids and I started demanding all of his free time.  He has even had a few hole in one's. His latest hobby is kayak fishing. Will is a 18 year old high school senior who loves to socialize and read.  He swims and plays water polo for his high school and does a lot of volunteer work.  He also works as a lifeguard at our local pool. Harry is 15 years old and a freshmen in high school.  He loves sports and plans to play high school lacrosse.  Harry has the heart of an entrepreneur and he is always dreaming up new ventures.  Kate is 9 and she is quite the girly girl. She loves art, dance and gymnastics.   She spends a lot of her time in the gym as she is a competitive gymnast.  She  also loves to knit, cook and play the violin. She is teaching herself cursive handwriting just for fun! These are our daily adventures.  I hope you enjoy them.
